A Goodbye

Diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder, disabled and unable to work, separated from his wife, 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter and living alone, John was discovered by his children when they ran into his house for a visit with Dad on Saturday November 21, 2004. Alone John was taking his prescribed medication, having bouts of severe depression and feelings of not measuring up to everyone's expectations. A sister from Texas talked to John Fridaty night, stating he was feeling down. His father said that John had long been disturbed by the feelings of being unable to give his family what ever they needed. We will never know what happened, but at age 39 John left us, far too early, from self over-medication. Was it accidental or not? Only God and John know the answer. I was at your side in the hospital when your son was born, I watched your children growing up with my grandsons, as cousins. Our family shared in your joys and sadness, now we've parted, you to your final resting place in Indiana, I back amongst the remaining family members. That final tribute of November 29, when we gathered together as family and friends to say our goodbyes and pray for your acceptance into Gods realm reminds us all that life is too short. Honor and support your family and friends for you'll never know when they will be taken from you. You'll not be forgotten. Goodbye John, my friend.
